cien por ciento chapìn
Lago de Izabel

A lot of people on the river have dug out canoes.. they`re so tiny and close to the water! We took a similar fiberglass version out, and it took some balance not to tip over.
an abbreviation of Guatemala`s love for Brahva

This is one of the only churches left in Antigua that`s still in beautiful condition.. After earthquakes and the capital moving to Guatemala City, most are in disrepair, and some are ruins (with an admission fee and all). This is La Merced, and when the church was refurbished after earthquakes and the such, the building was painted and decorated with the same materials used in the original construction. The yellow is the exact shade the church was painted when first built, and all of the white details were done by hand in eggshells!
